Did you get asked to be a member of a dear friend's bridal party? Here are 5 tips to get started on the right foot with the bride/groom and the rest of the bridal party:​​​​​​​​

1. Level set expectations. When you are asked to be in the bridal party ask the bride/groom to provide their expectations on time and costs associated with being involved. It's better to know now if it's something you are concerned about being able to meet their expectations.
2. Have the bride/groom set up a group chat right away so you guys are able to coordinate and make plans. ​​​​​​​​
3. Discuss openly within the bridal party the various events that would need your participation. Divide up responsibilities.​​​​​​​​
4. Set up at least one time before the wedding related events to get together as a group. ​​​​​​​​
